Why I send retailers there
Your product ends up standing in their shelving.
This partner is as much for the retailers I work with as the brands. The independent and symbol group stores that stock founder-led food are the ones refitting most often, and the fixture decides how a new range gets seen. A chiller in the wrong place or a bay without a proper header is a listing that underperforms for reasons nobody ever names.
Nabco's range is the convenience store kit list. Shelving in 50 mm and 25 mm pitch with the accessories to go with it. Remote and plug-in chillers and freezers, plus food counters. Checkouts and queue systems. Promotional and basket displays, beers, wines and spirits units, fruit and veg, bakery with and without doors. Warehouse racking for the back room. Newer lines like parcel lockers and micromarkets.
Their client wall reads like a list of my target accounts: Co-op societies including Lincolnshire and East of England, Nisa, Premier, Budgens, Londis, SPAR, Costcutter, Family Shopper, Simply Fresh, Morrisons Daily and Asda. Case studies on the site run from a Costcutter on the Isle of Man to a country store in Guildford.
Since 2023 they have also had a strategic partnership with Franco Shopfitters, which adds signage, EPOS, CCTV and full shopfitting to the equipment side. For a small retailer that means one phone call covers the fixture and the fit.

Refitting a store, or adding a chilled or frozen bay for a new range? Start with the equipment list, then the ranging.

Stage 04. The fixture the listing lives in.
Listed
For the retailer: the shelving, chiller or freezer bay a new range needs, delivered on a date that lines up with the launch rather than three weeks after it.
Retailer sideListed, brand side
For the brand: knowing what fixture your product will stand in tells you what pack format, case size and shelf-ready outer will work before the first order lands.
Brand sideSelling
Promotional and basket displays are how a founder-led line gets a second location in store. Cheap, movable, and the fastest lever on rate of sale a small brand has.
Second sitingGood to know
Before you call.
- Nabco is a distributor and supplier first. Manufacturing is Modern Expo's, and the wider shopfitting, signage and EPOS work comes through the Franco Shopfitters partnership. Ask which company is quoting for which part.
- The site has no dedicated farm shop or forecourt section. The closest published project is a country store in Surrey. If that is your format, ask for references directly rather than relying on the website.
- Case study pages are mostly a name and a photograph. For anything you need to justify to a landlord or a bank, ask them for a written project summary.
- There is a separately branded Nabco (Scotland) Ltd with its own website. If you are north of the border, check which one you are dealing with.
- Accreditation logos on the about page are shown without saying whether they belong to Nabco or to Modern Expo. If an accreditation matters to your project, confirm it in writing.

Next step
Refitting around a new range?
Go to Nabco directly for the equipment. If you are a retailer planning a bay around one of the brands I represent, or a brand trying to understand the fixture you are about to be listed in, I can sit in the middle of that conversation so the equipment and the range are decided together.
You contract with Nabco directly, on their terms.
