Where it stands
Listing detail reported by Grocery Gazette, 22 June 2026. Sales, range and stockist figures from mygsn.co.uk. Launch! was not involved in the Channel Islands listing.
The product
Healthy frozen, without the compromise.
Built in Yorkshire since 2012, founded by Craig Allen with a decommissioned van and a handful of second-hand freezers, on the simple belief that healthy food should be easy. Still family owned.
Four ranges sit under the brand: Pots of Gold, Ready Cooked Chicken, Signature Meals and high protein Wraps. All hand-filled in the UK, all high in protein, low in sugar and high in fibre, all ready in six minutes.
It started as food for gym-goers who wanted the macros without losing an evening to cooking. It has since moved well beyond that, into Ocado, NHS sites, the Ministry of Defence and grocery. That widening is the interesting part commercially.

Book 20 minutesWhy a buyer stocks it
Healthy frozen is a fixture with a hole in it.
The claim still moving is fibre
Fibre sales grew 14.1 per cent against protein's 9.6 in the twenty-six weeks to January 2026, and only around four per cent of UK adults hit the thirty gram daily recommendation. High protein and high fibre together is the current answer. Protein alone is the answer from eighteen months ago.
Range, not a single SKU
Pots, chicken, wraps and full meals means a buyer can build a section rather than test one line and wait. Over thirty meals to choose from.
Institutional customers already say yes
NHS sites and the Ministry of Defence do not buy on a good story. They buy on process. That is operational proof rather than a technical shortcut, and it is the risk a buyer is actually pricing.
Fourteen years of supply behind it
Ten million meals and 400 stockists means the operational questions have already been answered. That matters more than most founders realise.
Frozen is the format with the space
Total frozen retail is £9.2bn and up 3.4 per cent. One major multiple added more than two hundred and thirty new frozen lines in May 2026 and another is increasing freezer space by over a quarter. And eighty-two per cent of shoppers say they would buy more frozen if they knew it was nutritionally equal to fresh, which is headroom sitting unclaimed.
The objection
Protein has peaked, and a discounter got to GLP-1 first.
Both halves of that are true and both are worth saying before a buyer says them.
Mintel called a protein plateau in April 2026. Tastewise measured protein-snack menu mentions up twenty-nine per cent against consumer interest up 0.9 per cent, which is supply running well ahead of demand. And in January 2026 a major frozen retailer launched thirty-eight new lines aimed squarely at high protein and weight-loss-medication shoppers. The obvious slot has been taken.
What has not plateaued is fibre. Fibre sales grew 14.1 per cent against protein's 9.6 in the twenty-six weeks to January 2026. Only about four per cent of UK adults reach the thirty gram daily recommendation, and two-thirds of consumers say they eat fibre-rich food specifically for gut health. A range that is high protein and high fibre and low sugar is answering the claim that is still moving.
The second objection is the one nobody in this fixture has solved. Nearly two-thirds of UK adults think ready meals are highly processed, and Mintel names that as the category's main brake on growth. The specification a major multiple endorsed in April 2026 was twenty-five grams of protein, eight grams of fibre, no more than five grams of added sugar, and no protein isolates or added fibre powders. Whole food delivery rather than fortification. That is the bar, it is a formulation bar rather than a marketing one, and it is worth measuring against openly.
Then the unglamorous part, which is where most founder brands actually come apart. Ten million meals, four hundred stockists, fourteen years of supply, and institutional customers who buy on process rather than on story. I would not present that as a technical accreditation, because it is not one. It is evidence that a specification gets held and a delivery lands on the day it says it will.
And one thing coming that is worth knowing. Under the NHS ten year plan, large food businesses will have to report on the healthiness of what they sell and set targets against it. Every buyer will eventually be measured on the average healthiness of their range. A high-scoring SKU stops being a nice-to-have at that point and starts contributing to a number somebody is judged on.

In the fixture
The corridor is ten to fourteen pounds a kilo.
Healthy single-serve meals get benchmarked per kilo, not per pack, and the corridor is tighter than most founders expect. Frozen currently indexes below chilled, which is an opportunity on volume and a constraint on margin.
Frozen sits below chilled today. Six minutes from freezer to plate, at a price a shopper does not have to think about, is a volume argument rather than a premium one. In a fixture where the last twelve months of growth came from price and not units, volume is the thing that survives a range review.
Price per kilo derived from observed pack prices at major UK multiples, 2025 and 2026. Tiers shown, brands not named. Volume and value dynamics per Mintel, September 2025.
What I did
Retail readiness
Getting the range, the pricing and the story into a shape a grocery buyer could act on.
Buyer targeting
Working out which doors actually fit a frozen healthy range, rather than knocking on all of them.
Channel strategy
Balancing grocery against the existing gym, convenience and foodservice business so one does not undercut the other.
Key account support
Rate of sale, data and the follow-through once a listing is live. A listing is a start, not a finish.
Next step
Want the range, the terms and the technical pack?
I run the commercial conversation for Gold Standard Nutrition. Full nutritionals across all four ranges, trade price list, margin structure, shelf life and the supply and accreditation position are ready to send. Twenty minutes is usually enough for you to know whether this fits your fixture, and I will tell you if I think it does not.
Founder rather than a buyer? This is how I work, and these are the other brands.
